CEREC single-visit, metal-free crowns
Have you been advised to “crown a tooth”? Have you broken or chipped a tooth and now are you looking for a strong, beautiful repair? Have you had a root-canal treatmen and now do you need to cover that tooth to protect it for the long-term?
If any of these scenarios sound familiar, you will be amazed what we can do for you right here at Castle Rock Cosmetic and Family Dentistry. We have invested in the lastest technology and training to provide you with metal-free, beautifully shaped and colored crowns in a single visit.
Dr. Erik Hekkert has been a provider of these CAD/CAM restorations since early 2003. He has perfected the procedure and usually can restore your tooth in less than an hour, often for less than the usual rate of a crown. You, too, are a candidate for this simple, long-lasting and efficient option for your teeth.
Invisalign to straighten teeth
Did your previous orthodontic treatment not last? Do you have crowded teeth that make it difficult to keep them clean and healthy? Do you wish you could get a straighter, nicer smile without having to put wires on your teeth?
Dr. Erik Hekkert has been Invisalign certified since 2004. He has attended numerous training sessions and has helped people just like you improve their smiles. Invisalign is provided by Dr. Hekkert right here, at Castle Rock Cosmetic and Family Dentistry.
Invisalign is a series of clear plastic aligners that move your teeth in 2-week intervals. You will be amazed at how simple the system is to use and how beautiful the results can be. If you’ve always wished for that straight, beautiful smile, now is your time. Remember to ask about our free whitening with Invisalign offer.
Dr. Erik Hekkert believes in conservative diagnosis and long-term solutions. When warranted, he recommends fillings using the latest in composite technology. This tooth-colored material is bonded to the tooth, leading to a dependable, virtually undetectable repair of your tooth.
Endodontic treatment (root canal)
Do you have a cavity that has reached the nerve and is causing that excruciating pain that can keep you up at night? Have you broken a tooth and exposed the nerve? Have you bumped or knocked a tooth that is now discolored? You may need endodontic treatment to alleviate the pain and save the tooth.
Dr. Erik Hekkert is trained in the latest in root canal therapy. He uses a motorized system that smoothly prepares the tooth. X-rays are used to verify the location and depth of the canals to help ensure a complete treatment that remains comfortable for a long time.
The most amazing part is that if the root-canal therapy goes smoothly and your tooth cooperates, it can be crowned that same day, all in one single visit. No more having to go back for the crown preparation, wearing a temporary and then finally going back for the final crown. It can all be done at once, in one visit, with metal-free crowns using the CEREC system.
Many people come to Castle Rock Cosmetic and Family Dentistry for their regular cleanings and check-up visits only. Maintenance is paramount in keeping yourself out of the dentist’s chair, and Dr. Erik Hekkert is a huge fan of those who have healthy teeth with healthy supporting gums and bone.
In order to help all of our patients achieve that level of health and comfort, Dr. Erik Hekkert performs a thorough gum tissue health examination on every new patient. Each returning patient is also examined to ensure no negative changes go undetected and untreated. Any of these negative changes will be discussed with you, so that you can make an informed decision regarding your dental health.
The soft plaque that builds on your teeth almost immediately after every meal is easily removed if you brush at least twice a day and floss at least once daily. Plaque will calcify within 24 hours, and then it becomes much more difficult to remove. It will now be calculus, and in some cases we can see these deposits on x-rays.
Calculus is teaming with bacteria. It causes bad breath and can lead to cavities. Most of all, it has a toxic effect on your gums and bone, literally melting it away, causing pockets to form next to your teeth. This bone loss can lead to loose teeth, possibly causing them to fall out.
Dr. Erik Hekkert has included equipment at Castle Rock Cosmetic and Family Dentistry that comfortably and efficiently removes these damaging products. Treatment will be customized for every patient, ensuring you will receive the care you need and deserve.
